Our Gorgeous Girl, yes, singular

DGC Coonyham Calistoga

Toga

Calistoga is our adorable girl from our wonderful Caliente and our handsome Rough Rider.  We have always loved Callie's kittens and wanted to keep a Callie daughter for ourselves.  Toga is into everything, playing all the time, stealing toys and toast from the dining room table.  We love her - she's our own little imp.  She is very loving, extroverted, loves to cuddle, snuggle, drape herself over your legs and just say "hi" all the time.  Calistoga was a tremendous comfort to Laura when we lost her mother, Caliente, unexpectedly.   Calistoga received four finals at her first adult championship show including a Best LH cat final - WooHoo.  She had two litters of kittens and then was brought back out to show.  She is now a double-grand champion (we just need to claim her title in TICA).

Toga proved that she has the CURIOUS gene in spades, managing to get trapped over the ceiling unexpectedly but Joe (daddy) managed to rescue her (and cover up the small hole that permitted her inside).

Toga and Comanche had a lovely litter of four kittens in the Spring of 2005.  All are with white and we named them after Sharon's great-nephews.  Here is a photo of Jamaica, Zane and Damon (Grayson was off eating).

Calistoga had a second litter, this one sired by Lone Star and all six resulting kittens were cute.  Prada has a lovely show career with Whatatrill Maine Coons in Petaluma and the other five are enjoying life, convincing their owners that Maine Coons are the BEST!  Calistoga has since had two more litters sired by Lone Star.  One was a folk music themed litter with Peter, Paul and Maryio (who became Coonyham Comanche, shown by April, Ashleigh and Keith of Mountain View).   Peter (Night Rider) has a fan club in Alaska (his vet calls his owner to bring him in for weigh-ins).  Paul is now Wyle Cat.  Simon and Garfunkle were brown classic tabbies without white and both are also in great homes.

Calistoga’s third litter was bittersweet in its beginning for it was Lone Star’s last stand.  We bred him to Toga after he was diagnosed with Lymphoma.  The resulting six kittens were welcomed, loved and cherished.  They helped us prepare for and deal with Lone Star’s passing.  Fly Boy is a special buddy kitty for Joe.  Gold Mine (Ace) is a gorgeous brown with white living with Roxann & Van Rokicki in WI.  Storm Rider is dark and smokey with huge ears and dramatic eyes, enjoying life with Michi and Russ Hagan of Williamina Maine Coons in Japan.  Tamalpais Tom (Tommy) of Fog City now lives with Tina Dodge in Connecticut (purring up a storm).  Maserati of Cascademtn Maine Coons now calls the Pacific Northwest her home with Blair and Susan Milburn and their wonderful cats.  CoCo lives in Pacific Heights as a beloved pet, keeping the other Maine Coons under her paw.  All six are wonderful babies.  Thank you Calistoga for raising them with love and trills.  Thank you Lone Star for your legacy and for all of your special ways.

Calistoga has returned to motherhood, after a 1.5 year break with three lovely babies, sired by Coondalay Macallen of Pinecoon, a gorgeous brown mackeral tabby male owned by our friends, Betsy and Dave Tinney outside Seattle.

Toga loves being top-cat and is our sole breeding cat.  Here is her pedigree.
