Coonyham has no retired Maine Coon cats available at this time.

Why do we have retired adult Maine Coons available as companions (as we do at present)? These are usually retired show/breeding cats and we are making the hard decision to part with them because we feel that this cat desires or needs a home with fewer cats (or no cats) as companions or because we feel we must keep our own cat population down to a small number.

We take even more time and effort in placing our adults than our kittens; they are our friends and deserve the best home we can find for them. We place them in very carefully-screened, loving homes. Prices vary based on sex and age of the cat but are usually less than the cost of young kittens. The advantages to adopting an adult over a kitten are numerous. Adults have well developed habits and do not require the extra patience a kitten requires. Adults are very loving and while playful, are not as incessently active as a kitten. Maine Coons take up to five years to mature and even as mature cats, are playful, goofy and curious. Maine Coons never actually grow up, they just get larger. :-)

At this time - shipping is not an option on any of our retired adults.  We need to meet you in person and see how you interact with these adults and how they interact with you.  :-)
